Advancing your resilience: Strategies for business owners and leaders

As a business owner or business leader, your work life can be hectic and, at times, unpredictable. So, your ability to diminish stress, maintain healthy functioning and sustain positive emotions is critical.

This new three-part workshop series is led by Dr Rachel Doern, from Goldsmiths’ Institute of Management Studies. It equips you with the knowledge and tools to help you adjust your attention, thinking, physical environment and resources in order to feel more resilient in the face of unpredictable and challenging times, and even crisis.

The final workshop also explores coping strategies you might fall prey to, which can compromise your resilience and increase your vulnerability, and the steps you can take to protect yourself from their negative effects.

The first workshop takes place in-person at Goldsmiths on Friday 28 February, 10.00am to 1.00pm, and the following two workshops are delivered on Zoom on 28 March and 25 April, 10.00am to 12.00pm. Booking fee: £225.

The topic of resilience has been an enduring feature of Dr Doern’s research, teaching, public speaking and mentoring in the areas of entrepreneurship, business leadership and development for more than 15 years. She has run numerous workshops, seminars, webinars and panels on resilience and crisis management for organisations in the public, private and charitable sectors.
