IT Network Support with Cyber Security (Digital Skills Academy)

Do you want to launch your career in IT but don’t have prior experience and aren’t sure where to start? Come and join the new Digital Academy in-person Skills Bootcamp delivered in partnership with Generation!

This programme will train you to become an IT support analyst – other job titles of recent graduates include helpdesk analyst and technical analyst. If you choose to go on to specialise in cyber security, with more training, you could progress to roles including cyber security analyst and penetration tester within five years of starting your career in IT support.

Modules covered:

Technical skills:

• How to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems across the latest technologies
• How to configure and install networks and operating systems with the right security
• How to provide excellent customer communication
• The behaviours and mindsets needed to progress to new career opportunities

Behaviour and mindsets:

• Communicate effectively

This course will take place every Monday to Friday for nine weeks. It is a selective course and is only available to under-35s.

When you make a booking, you will be sent an eligibility form to determine if you are eligible to apply for this course. If you are eligible, you will then be sent an application form and instructions to complete your enrolment. You will also be able to book your slot for an informal interview and discussion.

Interviews will take place on 13 August, 22 August and 4 September. Successful interview candidates will then be invited to join this exciting course which ends with connections to employers with live vacancies and employability support such as CV writing and mock interviews.
