Statement of Previous Aid Received Under the Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) Exemption

London & Partners (L&P) intends to offer access to the Grow London Local (the Programme) as a Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) subsidy under the Subsidy Control Act 2022 (the Act). A ‘subsidy’ is where a public authority provides support to an enterprise that gives them an economic advantage, meaning equivalent support could not have been obtained on commercial terms.

The maximum amount of MFA offered to any enterprise under the Programme is the gross grant equivalent of £263. In order to accept applicants to the Programme, L&P requires confirmation that receipt of the MFA will not exceed the permitted MFA threshold of £315,000 cumulated over this and the previous two financial years.

Please confirm below that, if accepted in the Programme and in receiving the gross grant equivalent of £263, your enterprise will not exceed the threshold of £315,000 in MFA or comparable types of subsidies (EU de minimis aid, Small Amounts of Financial Assistance - or SAFA - under the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement) over this and the previous two financial years. Confirmation must be made by someone who is authorised to do so on behalf of the enterprise.

N.B. L&P cannot advise you on subsidy control or MFA. However, any previous MFA or comparable subsidies should have been communicated to you in writing by the relevant public authority. If in doubt, please seek independent legal advice.
