3D VFX Pipeline for Post-Production

This is a comprehensive three-week course designed to introduce you to the visual effects workflow for post-production in film, television and digital media.
Learn how to take a shot from live-action footage through to a fully completed shot. This includes creating a fully tracked 3D camera, placing it in a 3D world space using Maya, adding 3D assets and environments and rendering them for compositing in Nuke.
This intensive course teaches you the key skills required for entry-level roles in visual effects within post-production and is suited to anyone interested in working in 3D departments.

Enrolment day: Thursday 10 July
Eligibility requirements
All participants will need to have the following starting points:
- Have a clear command of English and be able to write and communicate in English
- Be able to navigate IT software menu systems and be willing to use problem-solving techniques. This course will be delivered using Apple Macs or PCs.
- Have experience of using digital office software such as Microsoft Office, Google docs or similar.
- Able to work as part of a team
- Be able to attend all sessions on the dates specified.
- 19+ and GLA resident.
