CONEL runs this programme over a 24 month timeframe, with a learning period of 18 months and an end point assessment (EPA) of up to 6 months.

Upon successful completion of the assistant accountant apprenticeship, you can apply for AAT associate bookkeeping membership and become a professional AAT bookkeeper (AATQB).

The skills and knowledge you gain throughout this apprenticeship qualify you for roles including finance officer, assistant accountant and bookkeeper. You are also eligible for AAT bookkeeper (AATQB) status, giving you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.
