Creating a business startup – Level 2 (adult)

This course will develop skills and knowledge needed for a business startup. It will give you an understanding of the initial processes and requirements of a business startup, knowledge of the first steps in creating a business startup, including the marketing, legal and financial requirements, and an understanding of how to write a business plan.
The course will focus on the study of starting a business and support in creating a business plan. The objective is to gain an understanding of the steps of creating and developing a business startup, develop an awareness of their own business skills and increase self-awareness and aid personal development.
You will complete four mandatory units listed below and a further four optional units.
- Initial steps for a business startup.
- Marketing for a business startup.
- Legal and financial considerations for a business startup.
- Developing a business plan.
Eligibility requirements
You will need five GCSEs including Maths and English grade 4 and above or functional skills Level 2 English and Maths.
