Customer service for hospitality

This hospitality programme is designed for business owners and their workforce, helping them build the essential customer service skills needed to progress on their career.

The course covers the fundamentals of delivering excellent customer service, including understanding customer expectations, effective communication, and handling complaints positively.

You'll develop key skills such as active listening, body language awareness, and confident questioning, while gaining a basic understanding of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The programme also explores the roles of internal and external customers and teaches how to create memorable "wow" moments that elevate the customer experience.

Eligibility requirements

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements:

• you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
• you are not in full time education
• you have not achieved this qualification before
• you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2025
• Have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months and the VISA is valid for the duration of the course

If you don't have permission to live in the UK for 12 months there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor who will contact you.
