The Barking Enterprise Centre and Barking and Dagenham Council are offering 15 grants of up to £2,000 to support food businesses to improve their social, financial and environmental sustainability.

It’s part of a programme to create a thriving network of diverse food businesses supplying healthy, sustainable food on our high streets and at our events. 

The grants are funded through UKSPF and seek to support businesses to improve local demand for a healthier and sustainable food offer in the borough.

What we are offering:

  • Food business grants of up to £2,000
  • Support with your grant application

£2,000 could pay for:

  • A chiller to expand your range of fruit and vegetables
  • An EPOS food pricing system to price and label your goods more efficiently
  • Improving your shelving or display systems
