Join us for some lively discussion about the highs and lows of making it in the food business world.
At these talks, the UK's leading voices will be sharing their stories about how they built their food businesses and some of the valuable lessons they learned along the way.
For this Q&A, we will be learning from Ramona Hazan, founder of RAMONA's and Tina Chen, founder of HumaniTea.
About these Q&As
This is an open session for aspiring food founders, where we encourage participants to get involved, ask questions and apply ideas to their own projects and businesses.
The ticket includes post-Q&A networking drinks and samples from the speakers. Please note that this is an in-person event.
About the speakers
RAMONA's was inspired by Ramona's memories of the flavours and textures of the Levantine. Starting from her home kitchen and a little blender, she experimented with family recipes for houmous, falafel and dips. Having noticed an underrepresentation of Turkish and Egyptian cuisine in the supermarket, Ramona set out to fill this gap with her range of delicious, plant-based, boldly-branded products. Her business is now worth £5 million.
HumaniTea is the UK’s first chilled ready-to-drink plant-based tea lattes. Chief tea officer Tina was inspired by the Taiwanese bubble tea concept and British tea-drinking culture to develop a delicious, well-balanced tea latte in Matcha and Earl Grey flavours. Tina's low-sugar, ethically sourced drinks provide a natural energy and antioxidant boost, without the caffeine crash and can be purchased at the Co-op, Ocado and Amazon.
