Funded by Made Smarter, a digital internship provides support and expertise from a student or recent graduate, giving your business an immediate skills injection to assist with a tailored digital project.
The internships are designed to create a lasting impact on your business and accelerate digital adoption. Interns will focus on activities that improve systems and processes, such as automating repetitive tasks, analysing data, or introducing and implementing new digital tools.
Our technology adoption specialist can help you to scope a suitable project and develop a workplan to ensure the internship supports your business goals and digital ambitions.
The programme connects businesses with emerging talent while also providing students and graduates with valuable industry experience.
Digital internship funding includes:
- Support from a technology adoption specialist to identify and scope a suitable project.
- Funding for digital intern for up to 12 weeks.
- Flexible placements available on full or part-time basis.
- Interns funded at the London Living Wage.
About Made Smarter
Digital internships are part of our wider support package, connecting manufacturing businesses with students and graduates who can support real digital projects.
The Made Smarter London programme helps SMEs that are manufacturing products in London adopt digital technologies for growth. The programme provides access to funded (free) support including:
- Digital Adoption Workshop & Roadmap.
- Access to digital technologies.
- Leadership & management and organisational & workforce development training.
- 12-week digital intern.
- 1-1 technical support.
- Up to £20,000 match-funded grant.
The programme is delivered by London & Partners and supported by the Mayor of London and Department of Business and Trade.
Eligibility requirements
- Manufacturing SMEs based within Greater London.
- Businesses with fewer than 250 employees.
- Companies looking to improve productivity or adopt digital technologies.
- Businesses at any stage of their digital transformation journey.
