Help to Grow: Management Essentials

Help to Grow: Management Essentials is a free, online course designed to give small business leaders practical tools, knowledge and insights to help them think more strategically about their business and plan for the future.

Fully funded by the UK government, the course has been developed by SME experts from the Small Business Charter network of accredited business schools.

The self-guided course takes around two hours to complete and is designed to fit around the demands of running a business.

It consists of 17 bitesized videos, alongside practical resources and real-world business case studies. Learners can work through the content in sequence or dip in and out of topics that are most relevant to their business.

The course is divided into three modules:

• Module 1 – Uncover your business potential and set your goals.
• Module 2 – Step up to the next level – strategies for growth.
• Module 3 – From ideas to action – putting it all together.

Essentials is designed for a broad range of people, including business owners and founders, SME leaders, senior managers, decision-makers, aspiring leaders and those in the early stages of starting a business.

It can also work as a refresher for more experienced business leaders looking for fresh ideas or a different perspective on their business.
