HI x SF forum: Setting up for success - get the most out of your governance

Join us on the morning of 15 January for an inspiring and insightful event as part of the Hackney Impact business support programme.

Hosted by Social Founders, this free event is designed for founders seeking to learn about the importance of setting the right governance structure for their organisation, and how this enables them to successfully bid for contracts and deliver impact. 

Our speakers introduce you to various legal structures and entities relevant to social enterprises, community interest companies and charities. 

We also dive into questions around building boards of directors or trustees, and how this can support your mission. 

In addition, you have an opportunity to learn about Hackney Council’s ambition to engage impact-led organisations in their procurement process and what you need to qualify for contracts. 

So, whether you're running a charity, social enterprise, or a community-driven business, this interactive session is for you! 

After the talks, engage in a lively discussion with our expert speakers and fellow founders, where we share ideas and experiences in a collaborative space.

This is then followed by a networking lunch and time for informal meetings or co-working until 4pm.

Who is this event for?

Please note this event is focused on supporting local, Hackney-based business owners, entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs, charity/CIC directors and sole traders. 

We place those who book without a residential or trading address in the borough on the waitlist, and open up any available spaces remaining 48 hours before the event to them.
