The operations or departmental manager level 5 apprenticeship is a great opportunity for managers working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who want to strengthen their leadership and operational skills.
It supports learners in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to deliver effective operational plans, manage resources efficiently, and lead and develop people within a business environment.
This apprenticeship is ideal for managers who are at the beginning of their role in professional management, and for those who may already have acquired practical experience but want to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.
This apprenticeship will build and enhance the learners with core management skills so they can lead in challenging business environments.
CCCT runs this programme over 21 months, with a learning period of 18 months and an end point assessment (EPA) of up to three months.
Eligibility requirements
Employers with a pay bill of less than £3 million a year will not need to pay the levy, and they will receive government support with the training costs.
Since 1 April 2019, non-levy-paying employers pay 5% towards the cost of apprenticeship training. The government will pay the rest (95%) up to the funding band maximum.
