The AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting is a remarkable opportunity for small business owners looking to upskill a member of their team to advance their accounting careers.

It can equip their workforce with advanced skills, knowledge and industry recognition that can open doors to higher-level positions, greater earning potential and a fulfilling career in the accounting and finance field.

The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) runs this programme over 24 months, with a learning period of 18 months and an end point assessment (EPA) of up to six months.

This apprenticeship is for:

  • Small business owners looking to upskill a member of their team within accountancy, finance, tax and bookkeeping.
  • Experienced professionals seeking a formal qualification.
  • Individuals wanting to go on to be an AAT full member (MAAT) or study chartered status.

By completing this apprenticeship, a nationally recognised qualification will be gained, AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting, the apprenticeship certificate and a professional membership with the Association of Accounting Technicians. This will open up many career prospects and pathways in the accounting and finance sector.

Key eligibility

  • Must be employed working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Employment contract duration same or longer than length of Apprenticeship programme.
  • Minimum age 16 years old.
  • Not already in full time education.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Live in England and been a resident continuously for three years prior to Apprenticeship start date.
