Running effective meetings

Meetings are an essential part of workplace communication, but they can quickly become unproductive if not managed well.

This short course will help small business owners and entrepreneurs plan and run meetings that have clear objectives, encourage collaboration and deliver results.

• Understand the duties of the Chair and participants.
• Know when and why to hold a meeting.
• Why people dislike meetings and how to change that.

Eligibility requirements

This course is free for those who meet all of the following criteria:

• You live in a London/Greater London Borough.
• You are not in full time education.
• You have not achieved this qualification before.
• You are aged 19 or older on 31 August 2025.
• You have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning.

If you don't have permission to live in the UK for 12 months from the first day of learning there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor that will contact you.
