Skills bootcamp in early years workforce development – Level 2 or Level 3

The Early Years Skills Bootcamp programme is co-designed with employers' to upskill their employees.

The programme will provide the learners with the knowledge and core skills needed to improve productivity and efficiency. In return, they will continue to have a positive impact on young people's lives, as they continue to work in a fun and fulfilling environment.

This programme will allow learners to work in a choice of settings, including children centres, after school clubs, childminders, pre-schools, nurseries and school reception classes.

Course content

• Support speech, language and communication development.
• Support children and young people’s speech, language and communication skills.
• Understand the speech, language and communication needs of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Support positive practice with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
• Wraparound support in basic skills, such as English, maths and digital skills.
• Employability support to prepare you for a work progression in early years support.

What you will gain

• Internal accreditation at Level 2 or Level 3 (RARPA).
• External accreditation in Early Years Level 2 or Level 3 from a recognised awarding organisation.

Outcomes

• Learners will be offered an interview for a new role/more responsibilities within the current organisation with a better pay (earning at least the London Living Wage) and a mentor assigned by the employer. (Level 3).
