Skills bootcamp: Level 2 carpentry skills

This skills bootcamp has been designed for construction labourer and experienced carpenter looking to upskill and get a formal qualification to progress onto a level 2 NVQ qualification.
It offers a comprehensive 6–8 week, non-accredited learning experience designed to build a strong foundation in occupational workplace supervision. Through engaging content and practical exercises, you'll develop the key knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for effective leadership.
Following successful completion of the skills bootcamp, you will be eligible to register for the nationally recognised NOCN Level 2 Wood Occupations qualification, empowering you to advance your career.
What is included in this training?
- Eight weeks professional knowledge classes with industry expert tutor learning knowledge for Level 2 – this course is a pathway to Full NVQ
- Skills bootcamp certificate of attendance (80% GLH)
- ILP and reviews
- Registration onto a Pearson NVQ Level 2 in Wood Occupations and Certification, working with professional assessor aligned with NVQ learning outcomes
- CITB Test
- CSCS Card on completion of NVQ
Eligibility requirements
- Be 19+ years old.
- Be currently employed or self-employed.
- Live in the Greater London region (including the eight postcode areas (E, EC, N, NW, SE, SW, W, WC) and outer boroughs (BR, CR, DA, EN, HA, IG, KT, RM, SM, TW, UB, WD)).
- Have experience in construction as either a construction carpenter/joiner and would like to qualify for a Blue CSCS Manager's Card.
