Our manager in training skills bootcamp is a nine-week programme designed to help business owners in the care and hospitality sectors step up with confidence.
It focuses on the real, everyday challenges of managing people, from communication and motivation to handling conflict and getting the best out of a team.
With practical workshops, individual coaching and learning that fits around the working week, it's ideal for busy SMEs. The programme is structured as follows:
- Week 1 – Lead yourself first: Personal development, time management and setting clear goals using a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
- Week 2 – Professional behaviour & work ethic: individual coaching focused on professionalism, accountability and positive workplace habits.
- Week 3 – Communication that works: Practical tools to communicate clearly, listen properly and adapt your style to different people.
- Week 4 – Reflect & build confidence: Review communication in action, gather feedback and update PDP goals.
- Week 5 – Teamwork & collaboration: Building strong teams, inclusive working practices and shared purpose.
- Week 6 – Technology & applied leadership: Face-to-face coaching to build confidence using everyday tech and leading in real situations.
- Week 7 – Leading others to deliver results: Setting SMART goals, motivating teams and managing performance.
- Week 8 – Reflect & review progress: Step back, assess leadership style in action and plan next steps.
- Week 9 – Managing conflict: Handling difficult situations calmly, resolving issues and building trust in your team.
