Eligibility requirements

This is a government funded, free to access course, if you meet the eligibility criteria below:

• If you are in receipt of one of the following: Universal Credit (UC), Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Pension guarantee credit, Council tax reduction, Working tax credits, Housing benefit, Income support.
• In employment or self-employed: if you are working and on a low income, you may be entitled to free courses.
• Asylum seekers are entitled to free courses with WEA.

WEA offers additional support funds for people on low incomes, and this is on a case-by-case basis. They have advised that the best way to determine eligibility is to call them at 0300 303 3464 (option one) and give them all the details, then they will be able to tell your client if the course is free.
