The objectives of this training course are to enable delegates to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards Environmental Technologies Units:
- Understand the requirements to install, commission and handover solar photovoltaic systems
- Install, commission and handover solar photovoltaic systems
- Understand the requirements to inspect, service and maintain solar photovoltaic systems
- Inspect, service and maintain solar photovoltaic systems
The course contains the following sections:
- Photovoltaic systems in the context of renewable technologies
- How a Photovoltaic System works – principles and components
- Design of a PV system
- Installation of a PV system
- Commissioning and client hand-over
- Maintenance and fault-finding
