Tower Hamlets Support for Startups

The Tower Hamlets Support for Startups programme provides practical, structured support for early-stage businesses that are already trading and looking to grow more sustainably.

The programme begins with a Scale Up Workshop, where participants step back from day-to-day operations and focus on identifying what is holding their business back, what is already working, and what they should prioritise next.

This is followed by tailored one-to-one guidance and ongoing support to help founders strengthen core areas such as sales, pricing, and overall business model.

Rather than focusing on theory, the programme is designed around real business challenges.

Participants are supported to develop clearer plans, make more confident decisions, and take action on the areas that will have the greatest impact on growth.

The programme also includes the opportunity to pitch for up to £5,000 in growth funding, helping businesses implement the changes identified during the support process.

Delivery is flexible and includes a combination of in-person and online sessions to accommodate different needs and levels of digital confidence.

Additional support is provided where necessary to ensure participants can engage fully, including simplified materials and guided delivery approaches.

The programme is funded by Tower Hamlets Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is open to businesses based in, or run by residents of, Tower Hamlets that have been trading for between six and 24 months.
