FC Designer Workspace, managed by Fashion-Enter Ltd, is a community-focused hub in Finsbury Park, Islington, funded by Islington Council, the GLA and LEAP. It offers affordable studios, industry-standard machinery and business support for local designers, residents and fashion entrepreneurs.

The space features professional sewing machines, cutting tables and pressing equipment, available through both private studio hire and flexible hotdesking, which allows individuals to book equipment by the hour, day or week. It’s ideal for freelancers, startups and creatives needing professional facilities without long-term commitments.

Alongside workspaces, designers benefit from mentoring, training and enterprise workshops, supporting skill-building and business growth. The Workspace champions circular economy principles, with a focus on ethical production, upcycling and sustainable practices.

Just a short walk away, the FC Designer Collective retail shop on Fonthill Road enables designers to sell their work directly to the public. The shop showcases clothing, accessories and homeware from Islington makers and offers startups a chance to gain valuable retail experience.

Together, the Workspace and Collective create a unique ecosystem that supports designers from creation to commerce. Originally targeting £1m in social value over ten years, the project has already delivered £1.4m in just five years, proving its value to the community and local economy.
