Need an extra pair of hands for a project, a fresh perspective on a business challenge, or support with data and analysis?

The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Greenwich is seeking placement opportunities for final year mathematics, statistics and data science students.

These near-graduates are looking to apply their skills in a real business environment while completing a work placement module as part of their degree.

Students can support a wide range of activities, including data analysis, forecasting, process improvement, research projects, spreadsheet development, reporting and general analytical problem-solving.

Why host a placement student?

• Access highly motivated final-year students with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience using Python, R and Excel.
• Gain support for projects and business activities and benefit from fresh perspectives and new ideas.
• Flexible arrangement: a minimum commitment of 15 working days, typically one day per week over 15 weeks or as a block over the summer (alternative arrangements can be made).
• Students receive academic credit, so payment is not required (although welcome).
• Minimal administration required, with no formal assessment of the student by the employer.
