HXL Construction is a forward-thinking construction company, focused on improving the relationship between contractors and clients to make sure work is delivered on budget and on time.
The company specialises in most areas of home refurbishment from loft conversions, extensions and remodelling to hard landscaping.
For co-founder Reisa Malaj, it's crucial to maintain transparency and good communication with clients and to ensure expectations are clear from the start of every new project.

Tell us about your business.
My name is Reisa Malaj and I'm the co-founder of HXL Construction Limited.
We are a forward-thinking construction company. We aim to streamline the client and the contractor experience to deliver projects on time and on budget.
What are the challenges?
The challenge really is to gain the client's trust, and we aim to do that by providing complete transparency.
We tell them everything from start to finish, what they're to expect, why and hopefully they trust us at the beginning of the project, not at the end.
How have Grow London Local helped you and your business?
Through Grow London Local, we've been in touch with Hillingdon Chambers of Commerce. They provided some free mentoring initially, which was hugely helpful.
We're still in touch with a mentor and they've provided some more networking opportunities, which I've attended, and some free resources, which are an opportunity to learn.
